How the server works
Whitelist
Section titled “Whitelist”Indigo is whitelist-only. Nobody can join until their exact Minecraft Java username is on the list. There are two ways on:
- Request access in the Discord’s whitelist channel. Your name is checked with Mojang, staff approve it, and the bot DMs you. See The Discord.
- A friend vouches for you. Anyone who has played for two weeks can run
/vouchin the Discord with your username and your Discord account, and you are in straight away. Details on the same page.
There is no form on the website, no account to create, and nobody will ever ask for your password.
If you see “You are not whitelisted on this server”, your name has not been added yet, or it was added with a typo. Check it against the name in the game and ask again.
Versions
Section titled “Versions”| Game | Minecraft: Java Edition 1.21.1 |
| Mod loader | NeoForge 21.1.248 |
| Java | 21 (your launcher can install it) |
| Address | play.indigomc.online, no port |
| Players | 12 at a time |
Everything on the client is pinned to the same versions the server runs. That is why the pack matters: a hand-built instance with one mod off by a version gets “Mod rejections” at the door.
Pack updates
Section titled “Pack updates”When the mod set changes, a new Indigo pack version comes out. Your launcher shows the update if you installed from Modrinth; if you imported the file, download the new one from the site and import it again. Until you update you will see a mod mismatch message when joining. Updates are announced in the Discord, and the site always offers the current version.
The full mod list at the current version is on What’s in the pack.
The status line
Section titled “The status line”The Online · x of 60 playing line on the site is the same information the Minecraft multiplayer screen shows. It refreshes about once a minute. It shows counts, never names.
Voice chat
Section titled “Voice chat”Simple Voice Chat is in the pack and connects to the same address as the game. Press the voice key (default V) to pick your microphone and set push-to-talk or voice activation. Voice is proximity based. If you can play but nobody hears you, check the microphone in that menu first.
Backups and downtime
Section titled “Backups and downtime”The world is backed up regularly and never resets. Restarts for updates are announced in the Discord. If the site shows Offline right now, that is usually a restart in progress; give it a few minutes.
Where the server lives
Section titled “Where the server lives”The server runs on the owner’s hardware and is reached through a public relay, which is why you connect to a normal hostname without any extra software. Everything a player needs is the address above. If you are curious about the technical side, ask in the Discord.
