Where this comes from

The basics on this page come from the mod’s own documentation. Anything about how it is set up or used on Indigo is ours. When in doubt, the linked docs win.

What it is for on Indigo

Finding your way, marking places, and seeing land claims at a glance. Two mods work as one: Xaero’s Minimap in the corner and Xaero’s World Map for the big picture.

The basics

• The minimap is always on. Its settings open with the minimap key (default Y).
• The world map opens with the map key (default M). It fills in as you explore and shows everything you have seen, zoomable.
• Waypoints: add one where you stand with the waypoint key (default B). They show on the minimap and as beams in the world; you can share them in chat.
• Death points are added automatically so you can find your stuff.
• Claims from Open Parties and Claims draw on both maps, in each owner’s colour, and the world map has a claim mode for painting your own.

On Indigo

Both maps are client mods: only you see your map, and nothing about your position is shared unless you share a waypoint. The town of Pine River and its public places are worth marking on day one.
