Farmer's Delight
What it is for on Indigo
Section titled “What it is for on Indigo”Farming and cooking are meant to be a real way to spend your time here, and a real thing to sell. Farmer’s Delight turns “eat a steak” into gardens, kitchens and meals, and a cafe on Main Street is the kind of thing the town is built for.
The basics
Section titled “The basics”- New crops: cabbage, tomatoes, onions and rice, plus wild versions you find in the world. Rich soil (made from organic compost) grows things faster and lets you plant on it.
- Knives harvest crops without breaking the plant and turn meat and vegetables into slices.
- Cutting board: place it, put an item on it, and use a knife (or an axe, pickaxe or shears) on it to cut, chop or strip. Faster than crafting and gives you the cooking ingredients.
- Cooking pot over a heat source (campfire, stove, magma, fire) cooks meals from several ingredients. Put a container in the pot’s slot, like a bowl, to serve the meal.
- Skillet cooks single items fast, in the world or in your hand.
- Stove is a safe heat source for indoors; it also cooks items you drop on it.
- Meals feed more than vanilla food and many give Nourishment or Comfort, slow lasting buffs, which is why a good cook is worth knowing.
On Indigo
Section titled “On Indigo”- Farmer’s Delight ingredients show up in village and structure loot, so the world was generated with it from the start. Nothing needs enabling.
