The Discord

The Discord is where whitelisting happens, where help lives, and where people post what they are building. Join with the invite on indigomc.online, read the rules, and you are in. Everything below is what a regular member sees.

News

#announcements for things worth knowing, #changelog for pack and server changes, and #status, a live panel that updates every minute.
During onboarding you can opt into pings for announcements, pack updates and server status. Nothing pings you unless you asked for it.

Community

#general to say hi, #screenshots for pictures, #projects (a forum) for what you are building.
#market (a forum) for buying, selling and offering. New posts need the Player role, so it stays for people who are actually on the server.
#engineering for Create, Mekanism, Power Grid and CC: Tweaked talk.
#ask-indigo for the assistant, below.

Help and feedback

#help is a forum. Open a post with a screenshot or your crash report and someone will jump in. It is faster than a ticket, and the whole community can answer.
#tickets is private, for reports and reimbursements. See below.
#bug-reports and #suggestions are forums. Found a bug? Report it there instead of using it.

Voice

Two voice channels, Lounge and Workshop. In game, proximity voice is built into the pack, so you do not need Discord voice to talk to people near you. Press V in game for the voice settings.

Getting whitelisted

Press Request access in #whitelist.
Enter your exact Minecraft: Java Edition username. It is checked with Mojang, so typos and Bedrock names get caught right there.
Staff approve it. You get the Player role and a DM from the Indigo bot.
Join play.indigomc.online. No port, no VPN.

You need a real Java Edition account. Bedrock, console and phone players cannot join; Indigo is a modded Java server.

Vouching for a friend

Once you have held the Player role for 14 days you can whitelist a friend yourself, no staff needed:

/vouch username:<their Java name> member:@friend

Your friend has to be in this Discord with an account at least a week old, and the name is checked with Mojang the same way. They get the Player role, the welcome DM and the rules, and they can join right away. Each Minecraft account can only be vouched for once.
Two vouches per 30 days (three for Founding Players), one per 24 hours. /vouches shows your vouches and how many you have left.
Staff see every vouch and can undo one with a click. You are answerable for who you bring: if your friend gets a moderate punishment within 30 days you lose vouching for 30 days, and a severe one loses it for good. Your own play is not punished unless you were in on it.
Vouching an alt account, or someone who was banned, counts as your own offence.

Bot commands

These work in any channel.

The assistant

Use /ask anywhere, or mention @Indigo in #ask-indigo to chat. It remembers the last few messages, so follow-up questions work. Good things to ask: how to join or set up the pack, how claims, shops or voice chat work, which channel to use, Minecraft tips, build ideas.

It cannot whitelist you, give you items, or talk to staff for you. It is powered by Claude (Anthropic) and answers from Indigo’s own docs, and it can be wrong. For anything important, check #setup or ask staff.

Tickets

Open a private ticket in #tickets. Only you and the staff team can see it. There are three buttons:

Report a player: griefing, stealing, scams, harassment or cheating.
Reimbursement: items lost to griefing, theft, a bug, a server crash or a rollback. Open it within 7 days and list exactly what you lost. Normal deaths (mobs, lava, falls, your own lag) are not covered.
Something else: anything you would rather not post publicly.

Screenshots and coordinates help staff sort things out quickly; you can add them once the ticket is open. Just stuck, or have a question? #help is faster.

If something goes wrong

Minor slips start with a friendly warning and escalate only if they keep happening. Deliberate harm gets a timeout or suspension. Hate speech, threats, cheating and big griefs mean an immediate ban. If you think a decision was wrong, message an Admin calmly and it will be looked at again.
